Plant Swap

Project Bloom will be holding their annual Plant Swap and Sale on Saturday June 7th from 8am-noon at Goettel Park near the front entrance on the cemetery side.  The Plant Swap is an informal community event for gardeners new and experienced alike. It's a chance to trade extras from your garden for goodies that others want to share. This a great opportunity to move out plants you’ve enjoyed, but no longer have room to keep.  Bring these plants and exchange them for something new.  Bring a plant/take a plant.  Or for a small donation you can take home plants you’ve never seen or owned before.  Annual and perennials of all types are welcomed.    No houseplants please.  Be sure to stop by and see whats bloomin!

To trade, bring anything that you think another gardener might want. This includes perennials, annuals, vegetables, and herbs (mature plants, divisions, or seedlings), rooted and unrooted cuttings, bulbs and such, shrubs and trees, or seeds. You can bring several of the same plant or several different items. Don't overlook any garden tools, pots, books, and so on that you no longer want. Please be sure that all plants are labeled clearly with at least the common name, color of bloom (if you know), and light requirements (if you know). Be sure to bring an extra box or flat and newspapers/plastic bags for taking home your new treasures. If you don’t have plants to trade …..bring a donation and you too can take home a plant or plants.    If you just want to donate plants that is great too...please have them to the park early Saturday morning or call Constance on where to drop them off Friday night.
Anything goes, highly sought after plants each year are iris, hostas (Especially white variegated, and personally I love the blue!), canna’s, creeping phlox and lily of the valley.  But everything goes!    Plants can also be dropped off the night before.
